Diana Luscombe (Owner/Operator/ECE)

I am the owner and Early Childhood Educator at Bright Dawn Licensed Family Child Care. I began working in child care in 2008 as an assistant in a family child care home and loved it so much that I decided to pursue ECE as a career. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2011 with my ECE Certificate and am qualified with up-to-date Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED Level B training, Criminal Record Check and excellent references!

 

Over the past few years I have been fortunate to work with and learn from some wonderful teachers and parents. I have always loved children and have always known I wanted to become a teacher. My favorite thing about caring for young children is watching them learn and discover new things. Whether it be a new skill such as zipping their own coat zipper or a discovery in their environment such as seeing a spider spin its web, children have an exciting zest for life and learning that I find contagious!

 

I opened Bright Dawn in 2014 when my oldest daughter turned one year old! After just having my second daughter in December 2015, I feel very fortunate to be able to continue in my chosen career path while also being able to stay home with my girls and see them learn and grow!
